A story about Flying Spaghetti Monster
The Catholic Church has repeatedly supported the role of evolution in science classrooms.
Pope John Paul II said, evolution was “more than just a hypothesis” (Speech at Pontifical Academy, 1996). Furthermore, the top astronomer at the Vatican claimed there is no place for creationism (whichever name it will go by) in science class. Biblical creation differs from the big bang, but most mainstream religions have shown the ability to tie their beliefs to theories that hold such strong evidence. Why is casting doubt on these theories such a high priority for others?
Sharing the spotlight might be the politically correct way to move forward, but what would Noodles do? FSM appendages may have not reached the mainstream, yet they flutter haphazardly over thousands of college students soon to be touched. Indeed it would seem trivial to simplify decades of research to this linguini lord; however, if science serves god, then meatballs are a side dish. Logical conjecture based on overwhelming evidence is smothered with garlic again:(
